This 500-foot spool of low-voltage wire (SKU TFFIL1RLUS) supplies the signal wiring that ties a central vacuum's wall inlets back to the power unit. It is 22-gauge, 2-conductor (22/2) wire, the light-duty pair that carries the low-voltage start signal switching the motor on when a hose is plugged into an inlet.
At 500 ft, the spool covers the inlet runs of a typical whole-home installation. It runs alongside the PVC tubing and lands on the low-voltage contacts at each inlet and at the unit.
